Although her scope of practice includes the ability to work with a wide range of concerns, Laura's experience resides primarily in working with student athletes dealing with injury, academic/sport balance, work/sport balance, and transitioning out of sport involvement as well as individuals and couples in and transitioning out of the military.
Laura is the spouse of a retired military veteran and understands from a professional and personal perspective, the challenges that accompany the military culture.
Laura believes that everyone has the capacity to be the best version of themselves when they have the right tools and support and that someone's present circumstances don't determine where they go; they merely determine where they start.
Laura uses a person-centered approach and utilizes modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and dialectical-behavioral therapy as well as others to provide a therapeutic experience that meets the needs of each client.
