Amanda Harms is a mental health counselor in Colorado Springs with a strong desire to help others achieve their goals. Her main methods of therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (which includes, mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and building relationships).
Amanda works with individuals at least 18 years old who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD (have experienced trauma), and/or have a history of substance use/abuse. She is also experienced in working with those who have diagnoses (symptoms of) personality disorder.
Amanda is understanding, caring, and patient. She enjoys diverse populations (LGBTQ friendly) and believes everyone has the potential to live life to its’ fullest. She believes in providing an atmosphere of safety, acceptance, understanding, and love.
