Dina has been a National Board Certified Counselor since 2013 and recently registered as a psychotherapist in the state of Colorado. As a former teacher and school counselor, she is passionate about empowering children, teens, and young adults to live their best life. Dina specializes in stress-management, anxiety reduction, depression, self-esteem, body image, ADHD, Executive Functioning, emotional regulation, social skills, parent coaching, and more. Through education, counseling, and coaching she provides a proactive, holistic, and engaging approach to mental health. Her theoretical approach to counseling includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Play Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy.
Dina began working in private practice in 2019. Prior to that, as a licensed teacher and school counselor she has over 20 years experience working with children and families in a broad range of academic, professional, and volunteer settings. She has specialized in social-emotional learning for children and teens and workshops for parents. Dina is trained in treating Anxiety Disorders in Children and Adolescents, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Play Therapy.
